The Lincoln Center for Family and Youth (aka The Lincoln Center or TLC) is a multi-service, not-for-profit, community-based organization that serves individuals and families by providing alternative education, life coaching, and mental health counseling services.
TLC was founded in 1970 as part of the community-based services of Eagleville Hospital located in Montgomery County, PA. In 1983, TLC became an independent, 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, incorporated under the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. TLC is governed by a Board of Directors that has fiduciary responsibility for the organization. TLC is operated by the Chief Executive Officer under the authority of the Board.
TLC’s clients include recipients of our direct services as well as those organizations with whom we contract, including school districts and other local, county, state and federal government agencies.
TLC is made up of three major educational divisions: The TLC Academy, School-based Counseling, and the Community Counseling Center. Specific services include: alternative education; individual and family counseling; student crisis counseling; drug and alcohol education & prevention; and community asset development. TLC’s trademarked Transformational Education® methodology is at the heart of all of TLC’s services.
TLC Transformational Education® is an educational process that is designed to foster transformational change in an individual’s life. Through this Transformational Education® process, TLC empowers students with the personal values, life skills, and growth process necessary to successfully meet personal challenges they will face on their life’s journey. It is TLC’s desire that students live a life of caring, contribution, and commitment.
