Chris Dormer joined the Norristown Area School District in 2016, bringing a wealth of experience and a commitment to transformative leadership in public education. He began his career as an Instructional Assistant in the Lower Merion School District before spending 13 years in the Upper Darby School District. There, he excelled as a Biology teacher, coach, and Athletic Director at Upper Darby High School before transitioning to administration as an Assistant Principal in 2005. In 2008, he became Principal of Upper Darby High School, a role he held for five years, followed by three years as Principal of Oxford Area High School. He joined Norristown as Assistant Superintendent and was appointed Superintendent of Schools in 2018.
Chris holds a Bachelor’s degree from LaSalle University, a Master’s degree in Education from Cabrini University, and a Principal’s Certification from St. Joseph’s University. He completed his doctoral coursework and earned his Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility at Neumann University. His excellence in educational leadership was recognized during the 2007-2008 school year when he was honored as Pennsylvania Assistant Principal of the Year by the Pennsylvania Association of Elementary and Secondary School Principals and the National Association of Secondary School Principals.
In addition to his professional achievements, Chris is deeply involved in the community. He is an active member of the Rotary Club of Norristown and serves on the board of the Friends of the Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library.
Chris resides in Aston, PA, with his wife, Michele, their three daughters, and two dogs. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys reading, golfing, small-scale building projects, camping, and cherishing time with his family.

GT Freeman, PhD is the current President & CEO of The Lincoln Center for Family and Youth. GT has more than 20 years of experience in Fortune 100 corporations, small businesses, and nonprofits as a consultant and leader. Prior to joining TLC, GT served as the Program Director of Executive Education at North Carolina State University and Lead Evaluator for two US Department of Education grants. He also served as the Headmaster of a private K-12 school in Charlotte, NC., and as an Adjunct Faculty member at numerous universities.
GT earned his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University, a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Organizational Leadership from Regent University. GT is also a Certified Professional Facilitator, Lean-Six Sigma Black Belt, Board Certified Coach (BCC), and Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE).
