Eligibility and Enrollment
TLC has an open enrollment policy. Most alternative education students qualify for enrollment. Specific eligibility is based on an individual student’s needs and our ability to meet their needs. We refer to our students as Non–Traditional Learners. Students generally enter TLC’s Academies® by being referred from their home public school district.
Below are general guidelines. Please don’t hesitate to give us a call or visit one of our TLC Academies.
- TLC’s Academies® are 10 month, alternative education programs operated by The Lincoln Center, a non-profit educational organization.
- TLC’s Academies are designed to work with young people in grades 7 through 12 who are experiencing difficulty in traditional school settings.
- Students are enrolled for various reasons including academic, behavioral, and personal/emotional struggles in school, at home or in the community.
- Students are referred by the public school district.
