February 8, 2017- The Lincoln Center for Family & Youth (TLC) has hired a new CEO with extensive experience in working with K-12 schools, universities, not-for profits and corporations. Dr. Glenn Thomas Freeman will continue to build on TLC’s history of innovative leadership and programming.
Dr. Freeman holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership, an MBA in Business Administration, and has extensive experience in educational leadership.
“GT”, as he prefers to be called, will join TLC on Monday, Feb. 13, 2017. He is excited about visiting with community and school leaders as well as TLC colleagues and staff, towards building a dynamic growth plan for TLC’s future and expanding the impact of TLC’s Educational Mission.
TLC’s current CEO, Gary Grenier, is retiring after more than 40 years as a distinguished educator and 20 plus years as TLC’s leader. He will assist with TLC’s leadership transition through February and provide consulting support as needed through June of 2017.
Dr. Freeman will be moving to the area from North Carolina along with his spouse, Heather, and their three daughters. The TLC Board of Directors and TLC staff welcome Dr. Freeman and his family.
The Lincoln Center is a not for profit, educational organization providing comprehensive alternative education and social services to at-risk youth and families. TLC is the home of TLC Transformational Education®, a methodology that combines pro-social values, life skills, and academic knowledge to teach successful living through the natural learning processes of cultural immersion, personal mentoring, and problem based learning.
Since 1983, TLC has provided supportive interventions for children, youth, and families. Its programs and partners are vital to their communities, serving child welfare agencies as well as the juvenile justice population and at-risk public school students.
