Dr. David Bronkema is a professor of leadership and international development at Eastern University, where he also served as Dean of the Palmer Theological Seminary and the College of Business and Leadership. With over two decades of academic leadership and global engagement, Dr. Bronkema brings a deep and holistic perspective to issues of leadership, ethics, and organizational development.

Before entering higher education, David spent five years in Honduras working with development organizations and human rights groups during a time of political and social transformation. He later held roles at Swarthmore College and completed graduate studies at Yale University, where he earned his Ph.D. in international relations. His work spans topics such as faith-based development, collaborative leadership, and global justice, and he has worked with NGOs and faith communities across Latin America and the U.S.

In addition to his academic and nonprofit leadership, Dr. Bronkema is passionate about mentorship, coaching, and cultivating environments where leaders can grow in both competence and compassion. His career is marked by a commitment to listening, learning, and leading with love.
